FILMBAR is a touring showcase of shortfilms from Skåne – Sweden’s southernmost province. Two blocks of short films and sometimes a third block with a special theme are shown at every FILMBAR. Before the films and during intermissions we make time for mingling, DJs, a visit to the bar and special performances.
Under the circumstances, it’s impossible to arrange a traditional FILMBAR, so we offer here, in cooperation with Film i Malmö, a FILMBAR in a digital guise – open for everyone, wherever you may be – a retrospective of select favorites from FILMBAR’s 10 years!
FILMBAR #1 was held at INKONST in 2011 with two blocks of short films inclduing Henrik Möller’s film Malmös finaste (“Malmö’s Finest”). Since then, FILMBAR has exhibited at many different places in Malmö and Skåne such as Mejeriet (Lund), Far i Hatten, Blå Båten, Skånes Konstförening and Hypnos Theatre in Malmö.
