FARGO

Fargo subverts the expectations of its genre by taking the plot of a crime story and adding elements of screwball comedy and a heightened sense of Midwestern charm. The story begins when Jerry, a car salesman in a small town in Minnesota, weighed down by his numerous debts, concocts a scheme to hire two crooks to kidnap his wife and extract a hefty ransom from his wealthy father-in-law, but things don’t go to plan, and people start dying.
